Useless Ramblings
"Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing ever happened." - Sir Winston Churchill
Unlike good movies I've never seen, which seem to disappear into a
void between the theatres and Blockbuster, I try to keep track of
those things I really should do with my life. I'll probably never get
around to half of them, but here's a small list in no particular
order:
- Understand the
philosophies of everyone mentioned in Monte
Python's Philosopher's Song
- Raft down the Colorado River
- Hike the entire AT
- Fly a plane
- Go on safari
- SCUBA the Great Barrier Reef
- Learn to tango, swing, and waltz.
- Be able to identify each of these paintings
- Finish Godel, Escher, Bach
- Own a convertible
- Update this page
On a similar note, occasional pearls of wisdom can be
distilled from those who have gone before us. I've got a random collection of quotes I think are especially
meaningful.
