6.829 Projects

Announcements

A major component of 6.829 is a term project that incorporates some networking research. We handed out (on September 19) a list of research project suggestions of things you might consider working on. You should generally work in teams of two. We also encourage you to come up with your own ideas on what to work on, which we will be happy to accommodate, provided the proposal is sound and has genuine research questions.

Not everyone is required to do one of the "research" projects. We also have a 6.829 competition in place. Check out the competition specs before deciding what you want to do.

If you're a PhD student, especially in systems, we strongly encourage you to do a research project.

PLEASE also read the project logistics page.

On Monday, September 24, 5-6pm, we will hold a discussion meeting in NE43-518 to discuss any questions you might have about the competition. This is voluntary; attendance is by no means essential. If you come, please read the competition specs and project logistics information carefully beforehand, and try to peruse the papers referred to in the competition specs.
