The goals of 6.829 are to train the next generation of networking researchers, practitioners, and engineers. In particular, our goals are:

To understand the state-of-the-art in network protocols, architectures and applications.
To understand how networking research is done.
To investigate novel ideas in the area via semester-long research projects.

12/5/01. Project talks and competition schedule
12/18/01. We're all done! There were 37 different class projects this term (a record for the class!). 32 of these were independent research projects, while 5 were part of the 6.829 competition.
